Spotlight On: Undecided Voters

By Vanessa King · August 27, 2015

Only 30 per cent of Canadians have decided which party they’re voting for, while 70 per cent remain undecided according to an Abacus Data poll released this week.

Why it Matters

Leaders and influencers still have eight weeks to sway undecided voters. More than one third of these voters say they won’t make up their minds until the final weekend, and one in five say they’ll decide on October 19.

Possible Outcomes

Abacus Data says having such a large mass of undecided voters means “any of the three major parties can win this election, and any of them could finish third.” Read more about the poll.
