When I first created MediaStyle I had no idea within four years the team I was building would become one of Ottawa’s youngest, most forward-looking communications agencies. We’ve taught hundreds of people how to work with – not against – journalists, we’ve coached tiny organizations and major cultural institutions through the ever changing world of social media. We’ve launched massive public awareness campaigns and our work has been seen by millions of Canadians. Today marks an important step in the evolution from consultancy to agency. Our firm is getting much stronger. I am proud to announce Caitlin Kealey has joined MediaStyle as a co-owner and our Vice President. Caitlin comes to MediaStyle from the world of journalism, public policy and communications. She recently completed her Masters in Communications from University of Ottawa. She studied the future of newspapers in North America. With a passion for community groups, Caitlin was a committee member of Women’s World 2011, the International Conference on Media and Higher Education and was a co-organizer of Changecamp Ottawa. Her professional and academic credentials, along with her communications skills will help our agency engage the Canadian policy communities, leveraging the power of social networking with effective strategic communications focused on results. Caitlin will be working directly with MediaStyle clients and managing our growing production team in downtown Ottawa. I’ll be taking on the role of President, continuing to work closely with our clients in a strategic capacity and speaking to larger audiences on the rapidly changing world of communications in Canada. Please take a moment to welcome Caitlin to MediaStyle in the comments below or email her at Caitlin [@] mediastyle.ca.
