I thoroughly enjoyed Jan Wong's interviews and her book A Comrade Lost and Found. I wanted to read her recent columns and was disappointed to learn she was no longer with the Globe & Mail ( the editor did no respond to my query as to what happened top her). I had to do my own tracking and finally received a CBC response with links. Though CBC has no idea where is is or what she is doing now. Too bad the Prime Ministers got in the middle of the outcry for her dismissal. Canada does not have to be embarrassed by this talented woman. Both the U.S. and Canada have been responsible for acting prejudicially and trying to bury past mistakes ( and current ones) does not absolve anyone of the blame.
Jan Wong joins the ranks of so many other journalists ( some who even get killed) who are written off by the powerful when they cannot cover their errors. Trying to re-write history does not mean the events never occurred. I would like to contact Jan Wong. I got depressed reading about the way she was treated.

And we see yet again the complete inadequacy of Twits to cover an actual lecture. Why are you buying into this failure, Ian? Aggregating multiple half-assed and threadbare sources into one blog post does not magically cause a full account of the event to come into existence.

Because idiot Twits think Twits work for everything, I venture there is no record whatsoever of this lecture, not even an audio recording. There are just a few sentences here and there from people who think the universe can be dissolved into tiny molecules.
