Two amazing YouTube based “next generation” musical projects to round out your work week:
The YouTube Symphony Orchestra
Part contest to find the world best musicians, part YouTube ego project, and part orchestral mash up. This project is fascinating in that it brings together an entire symphony “crowdsourced” from The world premiere of “the YouTube Symphony.” It is on April 15 & 16 online and at Carnegie Hall. It is composed by Tan Dun and the orchestra will be under the direction of Michael Tilson Thomas.
Thru You
I think Brent Weatherall (www.twitter.com/badweather) said it best earlier today with this tweet: “Music 2.0 http://tinyurl.com/ackt65 #OMFG #brilliant” Indeed. Brent, #OMFG!
